Complying with list rules...(good widdle goil that I am...grin :)

I am one year post-op as of August 24, 2002. I had a gastric bypass done by

the " Weight for Life " group in the Chicago area with a starting weight of

307 and now weigh 167. That gives me a loss of 140 lbs and you are looking

at one happy chick ;). I now am 20 lbs from goal.

I have been lurking for 6 months so I feel like I already know many of you

and so much of what is posted here has helped me tremendously. I realized

long ago that there is no such thing as a " magic bullet " and I was sure that

by the time I got to year 2 there would be struggles. I wanted to equip

myself with the right " weapons of warfare " .

I am trying to get back to drinking as much water as I used to drink and

I think using sugar-free syrups and too much sweetener is causing me to

crave carbs, and I am a " anti-carb " fanatic knowing what anything " white " in

color does to your metabolism and how it stores if not used as immediate

energy.

Thanks for all of the guidance and wonderful advise in all venue's of life

that may be effected by WLS (now, excuse me while I go back to my checklist

of where I fit into each section of the " epistle " ...has anyone checked off

at least 5 yet? lol)

hugs and love (yeah, I know, but I'm Italian!),
