Guest guest
Can't resist the desire to chime in here. When I was weighed at the surgeon, prior to my WLS, I was 5'2 " tall. I was more depressed about the loss of 3 inches of my original adult height than I was about weighing 356 pounds! I was terribly crippled with osteoarthritis of both knees. After a loss of 154 pounds, and two new stainless steel knees, I have my lost 3 inches back! Yippee! I feel tall now! (And in my clan, I am the shrimp, with everyone else being a minimum of 5'8 " tall, and a max of 6'5 " !). And you should see the uproar when I go through airport screening......I send off all the alarms. Too much metal in my body, and they won't look at the cards my surgeon gave me with x-rays of the knees! Alice in NY Re: Betty: On Growing 2 " In Height > > > > I have no idea how or why I grew 2 " .
