Guest guest
No one has presented any scientific evidence that drinking either Caffeinated or carbonated beverages leads to dehydration. I choose to avoid, but do frequently drink diet soda with caffeine. I usually drink 40-50 oz of caffeine free, diet cola a day. My water consumption is less than 8 oz a month, if that. None of my many tests have shown any sign that my drinking regimen is leaving me dehydrated. I would count all liquids, except salt water, as liquid consumption. There is also a serious question as to whether an individual living a sedentary life in a moderate climate needs 64 oz of water a day for adequate hydration.
