Cracks in corner of mouth?

Okay, I give up. I've been putting creams on it, even tried a bit of

cortisone ointment, but nothing will make it budge. It's driving me

nuts. It looks weird, and it's irritating, and...and....well, it just

bugs me, is all.

It started out as a tiny irritation in the left corner of my mouth, and

while it hasn't grown huge or anything, it's bigger than it was three

weeks ago, when it started. Red, looks like eczema or something. I

thought at first that I must have eaten something overly acidic, that

irritated the skin, but can't think of anything that might do this.

Then I got to wondering -- is it possibly some kind of vitamin or

mineral deficiency (or o/d)? I figured that if anyone might know, it

would be the folks on this board.

Just FYI, I had 1.2 metres bypassed in my RNY last year; on my last

blood tests my B12 was down quite a bit, but everything else looked

good. Had another lot of blood drawn earlier this week, and don't know

the results yet. However, no one has called to tell me I shouldn't be

walking around, so I'm assuming there's nothing acutely wrong. I take

B12 shots monthly at my PCP's. My daily vitamins are:

Vit. C -- 1000 mg., twice a day

B100 complex, twice a day

Palafer, twice a day

Materna prenatal vitamin, twice a day

Cranberry juice extract capsule, twice a day (because of bladder

trouble -- keeps it in check)

Calcium, 500 mg., taken away from iron

I am deeply religious about taking my vitamins, and I get about 100 g.

of protein daily, half from whey shake, other half from foods.

Any clues in this? Any reasonable ideas will be entertained (though I

probably won't drive them home afterward, they'll have to use public

transit like everyone else).
