Guest guest
Hello all. My name is Kim and I live in Panama City Beach, Fl. I am happy to say that I am finally one year post op and have lost approx 95 pounds! Boy oh boy how I wish I could say it was more though. Finding out that sugar does not make me ill has not been a good thing for me. I do not over indulge but have been finding myself having small bits of things here and there over the past few months. Getting married 4 months ago was also a big change and challenge in learning how to cook when their is a person who can eat much much more than I can. Anyway......just wanted to say hello to you all and I am finally glad to be able to join this group. I still have yet to find a doc to follow up with since moving to Fla. The ones I have spoken too say that since I am post op there is no need for me to see them. Should I just find a gp to get blood work done? How long do you need to monitor blood? Forever? K. Guest guest
Over the years, my insurance has changed many times. (No, I don't have the hiccups, Don's company does) I have my surgeons, I don't, I do, I don't. Lost 2 PCP's to retirement, 2 to insurance changes. WE are the only consistency in our after care. Yes, have your PCP do your blood work, YOU get copies, because YOU are your only consistency. Yes, as long as your surgery is intact, you check blood levels.
