Hi all;

Just to let you all know that my open wound is closing by 1 centameter each

day, and that now its only a few inches away from complete closure. I am the

one that had my hernia repair with tummy tuck on june 18th. I went back into

the hospital with a infection on the 22nd, and thats when the surgeon slit my

tummy open from hip to hip and removed all the remaining tissues. ooch.

sorry, but because it was all dead I felt nothing!

I remained in the hospital until July 18th, went home with help from the

visiting nurse and the vac (vacumn assisted closure) stayed on that for

approximately 2 weeks at home plus another 2 weeks in the hospital.

Pain is much manageable now, but this hole in my tummy really freaks me out.

I cannot look at it, and although I look great size wise, I would not do this

again. The RNY yes I would do, but not the tummy tuck.

Just an update - thanks for your feedback in the past. Nutrition plays into

the healing so if anyone out there has this, please eat as much protein as

possible. My taste buds now r terrible and this aspect has been very hard

for me to accomplish, b ut I keep trying for my sake.
