This is one of the things I am learning to deal with as I evaluate my new body. When I don't eat much, I'm hungry (I'm a DS, my stomach is quite a bit larger than an RNY pouch). Gut rumbling, if small children get in my way I'll eat them, kind of hungry. I have to ignore it; I have to have a protein shake, or a cup of tea, or a bottle of water. If I ate every time I felt hungry, I'd be eating all the time. I still can't reliably tell the difference between real hunger and head hunger - so I live and die by the calorie count. Guest guest
Janet, I would advise you to get scoped and see what everything looks like Also, what exactly ARE you eating? Sugar? Milk? White carbs (ie potatoes, rice, white bread). Are you doing protein shakes? Were you bypassed also? How far? Do you have malabsorption? I'm 7 years out (on Dec 27th) and had a distal RNY 50 inch common channel. Therefore, I don't absorb a whole lot, so take proteinshakes, vites, IV iron, etc. I eat 5 to 6 times a day, and sometimes and carbmonger hits, like around mother nature's time, but otherwise, I can fight it off with the protein shakes. How are your labs? Let us know a little bit more and see if we can help! You AREN'T a failure!!!! Hugs to you! B 275/
