Guest guest
Heippa! It´s cold and snow in Finland, as in our neighbour, Norway. (Welcome Sissel and many other new members.) In December we had daylight under 6 hrs, now more than 11 hrs, so the worst is over. My rheumy had to cancel our appointment for a month ago. The new time is 13. of March, but the doctors of the public health service begin propably to strike the day before, so a new cancellation is coming? Besides I had to go EAR on 16., they will be striking too. I had to find the balance between thalidomide and prednisone (11,25 mg/day). With 2,5 mg thalidomide every second day I got the first clear flareup (swollen ear) since starting thalidomide and by taking it every day the ear is better, but I have some signs of neuropathy (tingling), so I had to discuss with my doc of this. We have had some communication by e-mail. Since retireing last spring I have tried to take it easier by e.g. going out in the mid of the day for walking, skiing, ... and not everyone likes that. So the meds are not the only object of balancing. Hopefully I won´t get RP-difficulties with my inner ear. Hyvaeae kevaettae - Have a nice Spring! (Our spring comes normally in (late) April.) Voikaa hyvin! Arto
