Woody:

Bill is right sleep apnea is common in MSA. You can talk about a test with your doctor. My husband Fred has had shortness of breath for about a year now. They did the sleep study on him , here at the house. It showed some sleep apnea , so he now has a cpap. Also he has a nebulizer that he has to use 4 X's a day with Albuterol 0.083%. His breathing also get's bad at night. He has inhailer here also that he can use. One is combivent 103-18m , then another one that I had to go get when Fred had a real hard time at night and couldn't get his breath. I called his doctor and he phoned in Vanceril 16.8g 200 meter at midnight to the Savon for us.

Also along with the sleep test, If you haven't seen a Pulmonary Doctor, I would ask about seeing one.

One of the first things that Fred had when he started having the shortness of breath, was alot of fuild in his body. That is being taken care of with Lasix.

Please talk to your doctor about both of these things . Sleep test and Pulmonay Doctor.

Take Care

Woody,

Sounds as if you may have sleep apnea. That is common with MSA patients.

Aske your doctor about checking you out with a sleep study.

Take care, Bill Werre
