Hi .....I just picked up an issue of Woman's World at the grocery

store...that issue had some exercises in it....one where you lay on the floor

- knees bent - feet on the floor and a ball between the knees....you sqeeze

and the release...I don't know, it was designed to the thighs...and it might

help. The real reason I responded is I think I am just down the road from

you in Springboro......

This is one of my favorite exercises in yoga class - it just feels so good.

One caution: don't overdo it at first because it can make your knees ache!

Get right up against the wall; lay on your back, your legs straight in the

air against the wall. Your butt should be touching the wall. Then let your

legs slide apart in a V shape. This provides an extreme stretch in those

inner thigh tendons. (Do not, I repeat, do not do this nude in the same room

with your husband/boyfriend. Apparently, the temptation to get involved is

waaaaaay too much for them!)

Hi gang,

I have a rather unusual subject to discuss today. I have been

sexually inactive the past three years due to the breakup of my

marriage. Well low and behold I am dating now! (Found the last nice,

straight, unmarried guy out there!) The thing is, even with a

weightloss of 109 lbs, I'm finding I'm not as limber as I should be!

I'm 44 years old and (this is incredibly graphic) I guess since I

don't ride horses, I'm not used to spreading my legs far apart. I

think it was easier for me at my top weight, as my legs were

automatically apart all the time due to the fat. I'm like this human

vice grip! Anybody got any ideas on excersises I can do to make me

more pliable? I'm thinking of taking up yoga, but I already have so

much on my plate (my salad plate now) that I don't know when I would

fit it in. I figure if I can't ask you guys, who can I ask.

Thanks so much,

, open rny 5/23/01, Dr. Alison Clarey, D.O., - 109 lbs so

far!
