Good Morning all,

Well, I am off to try to break this plateau!!

I was desperate and talked with the Manager at the Curves where

I go to exercise. I told her that I had gained 3 lbs in past 2 weeks

for no reason and can't seem to break the plateau.

She told me it was normal and gave me the Curves Weight Loss

Method book.......What a fabulous book....everything in there

pertains to me!! I am a TRUE carboholic!! It explains in there why

plateaus happen....and how to break them....and eating plans to

follow to keep your metabolism high.....

It explains that after dieting for a while....your body reduces

your metabolism to accommodate the calories that you are eating. So

either you have to increase your calories substancially for a couple

of days and then go right back on the diet......or you have to

drastically reduce the number of calories you are eating....again,

and again, and again,,,,,(this would get you nowhere)!!!

So, here goes! I increased my calories yesterday.....had

lazagna and popcorn and fruit...(at different times!) 3 things that

I had been craving......and today I plan to eat every couple of

hours, increase my protein, and add complex carbs......and increase

my calories.....

Then, tomorrow......back on my low carb, low calorie, lo fat

plan.....we'll see what happens!!!!

If anyone has a Curves in their area....I encourage you to get

this book.....it is black....and written by the founder of Curves.

Wish me luck!

Marcia
