Guest guest
Hello It was good to hear from you. I am still in the hospital and it seems that with any good news, there comes some bad. The wound is showing new tissue growth attaching to the mesh - that part is great news. However, today they also discovered a new super bug growing in my wound. It is a staff infection that is MSRA. That means it is an antibiotic resistant and doesn't respond to traditional treatments. So they put back the central line and I am getting morphine, fennigan, and vancomicine through the IV. Then I am taking levaquin (which they claim costs $110 per pill) and my stomach medicines by mouth. I also get fragment, an anticoagulant shot in the thigh each day. So that gives you an idea of what my days are filled with. I am just sick and tired of being sick and tired. I just want to go home and sleep in my own bed.. Obviously your good thoughts and prayers would be appreciated. This is getting more scary as this is the bad boy of infections. Davenport Ext. 5312 P.S. I am on contact isolation now and after 44 days this hospital room is driving me nuts. If anyone works at a flowrwe shop or nursery and would send me a nice bright plant or flower to add some life to theroom, I would ceeply appreciate it. My current flowers have both finally died. Anything would be deeply loved. Hugs!!!!
