Guest guest
Judy, A bit of clarification. Magnesium is not a vitamin it is a mineral. Vitamin and mineral play different roles in our bodies. Certain medications and/or a poor diet may make it necessary to take both vitamin and minerals. But, you should discuss this with your doctors and have them run the lab work to see if you need them. Other wise you can really cause yourself a lot of un-needed problems. Magnesium requires the proper level of iron in your system to absorb. So just taking magnesium, to me , seems pointless. Others in this group will disagree and that is fine. But, when in doubt if you NEED this talk to your doctor and have him/her run some very simple blood tests. It will tell you whether or not you need them. Anything over the amount your body needs has the potently of becoming toxic. A good healthy diet is always your best bet. As for the baby aspirin, why are you taking it? You are on pred and another blood thinner and some anti-stroke medications aren't you? If so you don't need the aspirin. But again, talk to your doctors. Why is is always > as soon as we fix one leak in the roof, another one starts? (this is > rhetorical - I'm not losing it - at least no more than usual!)
