Hi Gang,

Just had to jump on the wagon about bellybuttons -- never thought much

about mine one way or the other until it got close to my surgery date and I

totally freaked out about the thought of my surgeon cutting it (open RnY) I

have NO clue about the emotional " thing " that happened but I made him SWEAR

that he would cut all the way around it and not through it NO MATTER WHAT!

I felt so strongly about it and I can't explain to this day WHY as I still

don't understand it but I do remember it reduced me to tears on several

occasions -- and this all for a body part I'd never really thought about at

any time in the past -- totally weird reaction but it was very real to me.

Just in case anyone is feeling very " attached " to your belly button -- I

wanted to throw out there that you are not alone -- I still do not have a

clue about why or what was up with that but --- I do like the idea going

into a plastic that involves the belly button -- I personally like the idea

of having my own " moved " or " relocated " if at all possible...

LOL... some Freudian thing going on I'm sure -- just not sure I want to

really know what ~laughing~ It's just a belly button right???? NOT!!!

No, I don't have any particular feelings about anyone else's belly button

and I don't particularly admire my own in terms of how it looks... but, I

don't want it cut near either (my therapist and I decided to skip it since

it wasn't likely to come up again... )

Ok... that's my " weird " thing for today...

hugz all,

~denise
