comment on calcium-maybe?

Just a comment. Wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

I was recently put on Cipro(antibiotic) for a cellulitis flare-up. The Cipro

states that I should not take iron, minerals, calcium, zinc within 6 hours

before or 2 hours after the Cipro. I don't know why, but that's what it states.

Anyway, with having to take the Cipro twice a day, that doesn't leave a lot of

time to take my other supplements. So, although I'm not getting the full

amounts of my vitamins, I am alternating what I do take between the iron and

calcium and multivitamins, etc.

My observation is that my joints, especially the one knee that is the worst,

seems to be hurting more now. It has been about a week that I have been on the

Cipro (and taking less calcium), so I'm wondering if that is maybe what is

causing my knee to act up again. It has been really good for a long time now,

so I'm not sure (other than the lack of calcium for the past week) what could be

causing this.

Has anyone else seen a direct correlation between calcium intake and joint aches

and pains?

I only have a total of 10 days to take the Cipro, so I'm not real worried about

long term problems, as I will be back on full supplementation soon, but I was

wondering if this was related anyway.
