Hi Krista,

It is my understanding that diarrhea could be a symptom of a bowel

impaction, which is common in MSA patients. The bowels will get impacted

,and only let water through. If her neurologist is not up on MSA, she

should go to a GP or gastroenterologist and see if she possibly has

impacted bowels. My husband controls with lots of water and a daily dose

of miralax. But she needs to be checked out. She could get VERY

dehydrated, or even an infection, which is extremely dangerous for MSA

patients. Good luck. Maciejewski

diarrhea and MSA + miraculous cure for MSA

Hi everyone

Do any of you know anything about diarrhea and what to do about it?

My mother has had diarrhea for a couple of weeks now. Apparently it

isn't caused by any bacteria(has been checked)Could it be caused by

MSA(since the disease paralyses muscles, I guess intestines could

be " paralysed " as well causing diarreha) Do any of you know anything

about this/have any ideas about what to do? My mother was given

Baclofen before this, but was advised by her neurologist to stop as

Baclofen can cause diarreha. So far stopping has not improved the

situation.

Best regards Krista Lauridsen
