Guest guest
Barb: After you talked to me the other day on the phone about comtan, I looked it up to find out more about it. Because of the Sinemet not working the way it should for Fred anymore and his Neurologist also telling us this. I'll talk to him about the Comtan when I take Fred to him on the next visit. Maybe it will make a different 's for Fred the way it did for Ken. Hugs Vera *************************** Subject: Re: Medicines I think the most immediate effect from a new medication came late in Ken's disease when we introduced Comtan. Ken had progressed to the point where he had to try three or four times to get out of a chair. This up and down motion not only raised his BP but it gave one of us time to get to his side to keep him from hurting himself if his BP dropped enough for him to pass out. So, we were unprepared for the day he got up on the first try, walked across the room and passed out, hitting his head on the sofa, and requiring stitches. Since we had introduced the Comtan in the hope that it would give him more mobility, we regarded this as a positive result! Barbara
Guest guest
Vera, My husband takes TASMAR to supplement the sinemet. You must have liver studies done every other month, but Speedy has had no problems. He thinks it makes a big difference in him. Best wishes, Marilyn in TN From: FVJAMES@... Guest guest
Hi all, Charlotte took Tasmar for some time (along with the regular liver studies). However when Comtan came out, they switched her to that and it actually worked better than the Tasmar. It is not as bad about hurting the liver. You may want to ask your doctor about trying it if they have not already tried it. It works on the same principle as Tasmar. Take care, Bill Werre ------------------------------------------------------ and Marilyn wrote: > Vera, > > My husband takes TASMAR to supplement the sinemet.
