Guest guest
Hi Krista Yes I am now a stranger to the group!!! Doubt many remember me!! For the first time in ages I am scrolling through to se what is happening with everyone. I saw your message re epilepsy. I have it too. Developed about 4 years into SDS. Said to be SDS caused by my neurologist. I take 3 Rivertril per day after meals, 4 at night plus one biquinate. My epilepsy is nocturnal. These meds control it pretty well I find. If I wake in the night occasionally with it starting I take four more Rivertril and that in a few minutes stops it. Hope this helps. I have had several probs of late. I sure have the daytime sleepiness though no sleep apnea. This has been for about the last month. I am being tested for diabetes at the moment. Had one positive result then a negative one so had to go yesterday for the full glucose tolerance testing. That will verify if I have it or not. I hope not as with the gastric pace maker now implanted I can eat anything and everything!! A miracle. ) I would HATE to have to watch my diet now!! Also about a week ago we lost all emails!!! Then three days ago lost Outlook Express which we use for emails! That is back now that Tony has re-installed it. We cannot use Internet Explorer. get illegals when we try and dont know how to fix that one! Having to copy and paste all sites and attatchments! What a pain! Apart from that it is study, study and more study!! It is very time consuming especially when one has to keep taking 'kindy naps'!! I am getting ahead with my study so I can take some time off when my great friend Bill (Werre) comes to visit us soon. Hear that Bill!! Your fault I am working my ..... off ! )Working overtime so can take the time off when you are here!!! ) But hey I am mastering the stats!! Haven't grown to like them though!! The virus I keep getting is back again too!! I think this underlying infection could be causing my tired and other symptoms as has got worse since the first virus bout. Blood tests show underlying infection not yet identified. They have been concentrating on the diabetes for now!! Well hope to get back in more often now. Love to all from Aussie Anne > Hi everyone > > I wondered if it is common that MSA patients are also dx'ed with > epilepsy? As I have written before, my mother gets facial spasms and > had an EEG scan. The neuro concluded that her EEG is abnormal which > suggests epilepsy. I am curious because Baklofen isn't that good for > patients with epilepsy. > > Personally I think her EEG is abnormal because of MSA, but then again > I am not a doctor. I will appreciate info if you have any. > Best regards > Krista Lauridsen
Guest guest
Aussie Anne, Owyerdoinmate! Wot, the virus is back??? Maybe if you grind up and eat Norton Anti-Virus - that might get rid of it for you ) Works for my computer ) Yer needs a big hug, so tell Tony that I said to give yer one, or two or ten. And have the dog give yer a kiss too. Ow is Maddison doing? Did Lorraine go back to work? How is the whole crew in fact? Been to the mountains recently? My gosh, don't work your bum off, you don't have any bum to spare ) I have applied for me passport and should ave it by April 23rd. Not sure how long it will take to get the Aussie visa after that, they do ave some sort of electronic visa, but your embassy's phone is always busy - everyone must be going to Oz. Airfares are cheaper in May, but I found that out after I applied for the passport, so I did not put a rush on the passport. Since September 11th passports (and even driver's licenses) have become a pain to obtain. I am now told that my original birth certificate may not be accepted by them and I may have to to get a new birth certificate (of course I used the original to get a government job, to get married, to get into the Air Force and to get a security clearance in 1961 - oops and I just used it to get Medicare). Me mum was very careful and I even have me ospital birth certificate from 1937. Currently working full time on fixing up the ouse to sell it. Prices are sky high right now and it is a good time to sell. I am considering moving to Pennsylvania, where they have no state income tax on retirement income. Since all this earbashing may ave tired yer out, so take a nappy. I am trying to get there ASAP and want yer ready to go. has invited me to a big barbie blowout on 's 50th birthday in early May, but I don't think I'll be able to get everything going by then. Ave another hug, Bill
