Hi everyone;

I can hardly believe today it rained here in Minnesota. We

have had very little snow all winter and I think only one

snow storm. This is some weird weather!

My Mother Mable just celebrated her 81st birthday. We had

a party in the YMCA pool with a lot of balloons and treats.

I can not stress enough how swimming has helped her. I wish

everyone had access to a warm pool. (Sometimes the pool is

to cool and boy do those old folks complain) And the jokes

the old folks tell are always a big part of our fun time.

Up here in Minnesota, Oley, Lena, Lars, & Swen never run dry.

Here's one about Oly and Lars. A single two seater airplane

crashed into the cematery. Oley and Lars were up there cleaning

it up and at last count the dead was at 271.

And another; Oley and Lena had been married 50 years. Oley was

sitting out on the porch looking sort of glum. Lena said Oley

why are you so sad on our 50th Anniversary? Oley said to Lena,

remember when your father caught us out behind the barn 50

years ago? Lena smiles. Oley says you father said I could either

go to jail for 50 years or I could marry you. You know Lena,

I could have been a free man today.

one more; Did you here that Oley got shot? Oley was on the

Canadian and Minnesotan boarder cutting fire wood. A mounty

policeman hollers out " who goes there? " Oley replies,

" Oley.....been loggin "
