My Hot Springs Weekend (fun-fun-fun)

Hi all !

I hope you all are hanging in there, you " all " were on my mind this

weekend and I wished you all were with me at this cool place in Glenwood

Springs, CO. It was like going to heven.

Let me start at the beginning.......As you all know by now I have moved

to Golden CO (due to my hubby's new Company) and I have a good friend that

also happens to live out here, so she asked me if I would like to do a

" Girly " thing this last weekend and go to a place called " Glenwood Spring "

also known as " Hot Springs " , it is way up in the mountains near Aspen and

Vail CO. I told her I would love to go and getaway from the family for a few

days, so we went on Friday and came home on Sunday.

The Hot Spring Pool, is the length of two blocks long and half of it is 94

degrees and the other half is at 124 degrees. The hot spring was discovered

in 1800s and was used by the " UTE Indians " because is was known to " Cure "

many disorders and still till this day it is known as a place of " Curative

Powers " people from all over the world go there in hopes of getting better.

In 1966 it went through a major reconstruction with a bath house and hotels

(the pool it self is very large) it is feed by the hot spring. Many DR's

wanted to know " HOW and WHY " could it cure and treat so many different

disorders so they commissioned F. Chandler, Ph.D., New York in the

year of 1888 to analyze of the waters and this is what they found:

I went in the pool with large bruises all over my body (I get them all the

time now) and they are all gone now, I also feel rejuvinized and pampered in

a way, I honestly do not believe that this can " cure " RP, but I do know this

pool has some magic power just by looking at my skin and the energy level I

received after two days, I also had a facial and a " mud " body wrap to remove

all the toxins from my body (from the Med's).

I will tell you this after two years of being so ill and not having any self

esteem due to how my body and looks changed and also the severe scares I now

have, this Hot Spring Pool sure did give me back a feeling of rejuvenation

and tookaway my bruises and made me feel a way I just cant explain its just a

great feeling. The only bad thing about it is that it smelled bad it was the

Sulfa in the water. I also went into a " Vapor Cave " a real cave in the

mountains with very HOT vapors it was just amazing.

So if any of you ever come to Colorado this is a MUST!
