tea

is really good for moving congestion out. (1/2 tsp. ginger powder, pinch of

clove,

pinch of cinnamon).

Also, good ayurvedic remedy for fever is to fast as best you can; also, if

the fever is

high, prepare a bowl of cool water into which you have added 1 tsp. of salt.

Fold

two pieces of clean cloth, dip them into the water, and put one on the

forehead and over the belly button. Repeat as needed.

Hi ,

It's cold season for sure. My son is just getting over a bad cold with alot

of chest congestion. Our Ped recommended Motrin for fever and Robitussin PE

for the congestion. Also Robitussin CF (cough formula) for night time coughs.

I don't know if robitussin is GFCF or not, but we had to use something

Hope he feels better soon

Just in case your son is like my kids and no cough medicine seems to

help, you might try Benedryl (no-dye formula). Even though it is not

marketed as a cough medicine, Benedryl is the only thing that helps

my kids at all, even compared to prescription cough meds. I've not

heard of other kids having such resistance to cough meds and I hope

your son doesn't have that problem. Hang in there.

Noah is the same way WIll not take Cough syrup if his life

depended on it, one thing that works really well for us at night is

we try to prop his head and chest up with a few extra pillows and we

use the vaporizer with the Vicks or whatever brand vaporizor

medicine, he breathes it in and it helps him breath easier, and sleep

a little better. Hope he gets to feeling better I know what it feels

like when the kids are sick, we might as well be too, Janet -

Thank you to everyone who replied to my plea.

recovered very quickly considering how ill he was and his chest cleared

in double quick time. I upped his Colostrum a little while he was ill and

wonder if this was the reason.

I know someone can answer this for me. We haven't tried many supps yet, still

researching the things that we think we need. I was just wondering about

casein in the Colostrum. Doesnt' it come from cows? Is the casein processed

out some how?

Thanks in Advance,

Good advice. I also use something called Larix, especially when the lungs get

involved. It's great for ear infections, too. It comes in a powder and you mix a

spoonful into some juice, 3-4 times a day (depends on if you can get it into

them!).

If she sleeps with you, as mine did, you can position her in your arms to prop

her up and if you're nursing, that's a great medicine, too. Oh, and keep her off

of dairy. Good luck. It should pass soon.
