Guest guest
Judy, prednisone affects your adrenal glands any time you take it. It is a glucosteroid (sp?). It replaces two of the twenty eight hormones that your adrenal glands produce. And given enough time or a high enough dosage it can cause the adrenal gland to totally such down. Prednisone should not be the main stay of any long term treatment program. Which is why doctors try and get their patients onto something like metho. Sadly, however, for some prednisone is the only choice they have when it comes to treating RP. It is good to here that you will be will for the Sept. meeting. So will I but I am not going. Love R. > , one question (which will probably turn into 8) you mentioned > difficulties with the adrenal glands, mine were damaged during my second > pregnancy, I was given Prednisone so they get me thru delivery - which > obviously they did. Will the Pred I'm on now still effect this? I tell ya, > , you should get your medical license! Love, Judy
