Guest guest
I found a good article in Time magazine at this link: http://www.time.com/time/covers/1101020902/story.html# It's called " What Really Makes You Fat? Should you count calories or carbs? The latest research may surprise you " and the author is J. M. Nash. This article is almost " metabolism and carbohydrates 101. " It talks about some of the different hormones that effect appetite and weight. It also does a good job of explaining why some carbohydrates are harder on people trying to control their weights than others. You don't need to register or anything to access it. I hate to mention the " D word " but it discusses milk. It presents a theory I'd never heard before, which is that getting enough calcium may effect the production of a hormone related to obesity.
