Guest guest
Just thinking how much more pleasant and stress free life would have been if only the first doctor I told that something was very wrong with me, I would have been believed, instead of dismissed. I might not have lost all my resources while trying to find someone who took me seriously. I might have lived in less fear and anxiety, my family too. It seems we all knew when it started to go horribly wrong, but ended up wasting a lot of time, effort and resources trying to find someone to believe and validate us. Sadly we can still only look to an autopsy for vindication. For me, at least, this is the worst part of it. I keep seeing the phrase 'he/she knew he/she wasn't right " , just how can we stop that from happening? My mother-in-law (what a total dear) is here till Monday, after that I'll put my eneregies into the plain language guide to MSA. I'll compile the contributions. Add in the other gems you've submitted. my contribution for the day, in the simplest of terms: Hypo = under Hyper = over Hypotense = low blood pressure Hypertense = high blood pressure Hypovolemic = too little blood volume Hypervolemic = too much blood volume Hypothermic = below normal temperature Hyperthermic = above normal temperature Respiration = to breathe, take in oxygen (gas) Aspiration = to breathe take in liquid or solid Aspiration pneumonia = developing pneumonia as a consequence of aspiration Edema = swelling of tissue due to excessive fluid buildup (swollen feet, ankles, abdomen) Pulmenary Edema = fluid buildup in body cavity affecting lungs and breathing aletta mes vancouver, bc Canada web: http://aletta.0catch.com
