This trojan has been distributed via email with the subject line " hey you. " The email comes with an attachment that has been widely reported with the name " MINE.EXE. " This trojan also has been reported to go by the name of " Cool " or " Trojan.AOL.Cool. " The MINE.EXE trojan is a password stealer designed to attack America Online client software to determine user account passwords. It will then attempt to send the stolen information to the author of the trojan and to infect other AOL users. This trojan primarily infects Windows 98 systems, though it may also infect Windows 95 if the file MSVBVM50.DLL is present. To check if you have been infected with this trojan, go to http://aol.mcafee.com/ " >McAfee MINE.EXE Scan. IMPORTANT: If your system has been infected with MINE.EXE, AFTER removing the trojan, be sure to choose a new password for your AOL account, including all your screen names!
