Guest guest
I am really loving this group. It is extremely informative. I have been on 2 other sites that seem to be predominantly newbies. Nothing wrong with being newbies but I am so tired of hearing the same questions over and over and over again. All of this talk about caffeine really got me to thinking. I finally went on the internet to look up some information. It seems that the researchers do not necessarily agree. What I did find interesting is that the research material that I looked at used words like could, might, may, can. No where did I see that caffeine definitely does do or does not do anything. The basic thing that I found was that caffeine can act like a diuretic which may lead to dehydration. However, another research stated that caffeine was no more of a diuretic then water was. So, for me, it really comes down to a personal choice. I personally drink tea which does not have near the amount of caffeine per serving then coffee. As a personal choice, I did give up sodas. I have found since surgery, I no longer really like the taste of sodas especially diet. I will occasionally treat myself to a regular soda but it really is just that, a once in a while treat.
