Oh, Glenda, I have a book that tells about this type stuff - - what it's for and side effects of it. I didn't think of it but I will go right now and check it.

flax seedsHere's how I take it. This is not specifically forRP, I have a history of ulcerative colitis and thisworks very well for keeping it under control.I grind the seeds fresh in a coffee grinder, 1/4 cupevery morning, and mix it with something soft, likeapplesauce or cottage cheese a tofu shake. It doesn'ttaste bad but it is a little high in (good) fats andcalories. I would recommend starting out with a smalldose lik 1 tablespoon, then slowly building up. Freshground flax seeds are the best.Any health food store should have them, you should buythe kind that is in a sealed package rather than the " bulk " type. It is less than $2.00 a pound so itrelatively inexpensive. Works great for me.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. I am thinking it was Martha that took flax seed butam not sure. Please whoever you were can you send me info.or tell me where to look for it! I tried searching the archives but Ithink it was sometime last year that we were talking about it inchat. Gosh I can't remember.LOL Whoever it was can you please helpme out! Thanks so much!Lots of loveGlenda__________________________________________________

Here's how I take it. This is not specifically for

RP, I have a history of ulcerative colitis and this

works very well for keeping it under control.

I grind the seeds fresh in a coffee grinder, 1/4 cup

every morning, and mix it with something soft, like

applesauce or cottage cheese a tofu shake. It doesn't

taste bad but it is a little high in (good) fats and

calories. I would recommend starting out with a small

dose lik 1 tablespoon, then slowly building up. Fresh

ground flax seeds are the best.

Any health food store should have them, you should buy

the kind that is in a sealed package rather than the

" bulk " type. It is less than $2.00 a pound so it

relatively inexpensive. Works great for me.
