My tummy tuck surgery was way easier than my open gastric bypass! I was only

on pain meds for 2 days and then only tylenol a couple of times after that!

I had the anchor incision, but I think it's not as painful as the open

gastric bypass because it's not a " deep " surgery, it's more towards the

surface and then you're numb in some places for a while till the nerve

endings heal back together. I love my new flat tummy and would do it again

in a minute! You might also think about joining ossg-plasticsugery@...

for more info and great pics.

Take care and good luck,

Donna M.

I too was told that the tummy tuck was worse than the bypass. I was off

of painkillers within two days of being home after the bypass. Tummy

tuck can't even say I really had any pain. Was very sore but wouldn't

put it in a category of pain. Everyone is different we all have

different levels of pain tolerance, so you really can't go by what

someone else tells you. You know what your pain threshhold is and take

it from there.

Have to admit, even if it were incredibly painful, I would have been

glad to have done it. Having no skin jiggling and hanging from my

abdomen is wonderful and not having to tuck my stomach into my pants

every morning is even better.

You have to make your own decision whether or not to do it. I wasn't

going to do it at all and just be happy with the weight loss. Then all

of a sudden, I just said, " that's it, I'm tired of this " and I had it

done. Do what you feel is right.
