Guest guest
Dr. Ray, Chuck recently had a ministroke, or TIA, temporary ischemic attack, and the doctor says it may be a precursor to more TIAs or to a maxi stroke. That's why the cardiac ultrasound, I guess. We don't know the full results yet, but the techs said there was an anomaly. Having been an athlete in college, he has always had a very sound heart. I have to report that another patient nearby has had frequent ministrokes in the past, but not since he started taking coumadin. His heart has also developed severe problems. Scary! Now, Norwegian names. I don't know where you got the name of the town your ship-jumping fisherman grampa came from, but it doesn't sound Norwegian to me. Can you recheck it, the spelling? Maybe it was the name of a farm. If you have the correct location, you can check the seaman's register in Norway. Also, try working backwards from all the documents you can get regarding the people you are sure of here in the states. Like their birth certificates, etc. Belinda, Thanks for the kind words. Vera and Belinda, I would join in on the gardening talk, but when I lived in the LA area, I could not grow flowers at all. It would have been easier to make a snowman. Here I have a beautiful garden, where it is a relief to rest from gardening and just flower dream in the winter. and others with Little Red Spots, Chuck went to a dermatologist who took two biopsies. Report came back that they were " arthropod " bites. Don't you like how they covered all bases there? This is very mysterious because I don't have any red spots at all. Possibilities are fleas (not likely, I don't see signs on dogs), spiders (not likely this time of year), ticks (not likely for so many), and Japanese flying lady bugs (pretty likely, because we can't get rid of them, all over the house). But why him? Why him, Lord? Barbara Woodford
