Guest guest
Hi to all, and welcome to all the new folks. It'a been forever since I've posted. Symptoms may have been noticed in 1988. Dx Ulcerative Colitis, falling off printing presses, dipping while walking, usually on right side, at age 40. By 47 I was dropping to my knees. At 49 I started having trouble swallowing. At 50 I was falling down to my hands and knees and on my back 5+ times/day at work. By 53 I started using a cane due to falling, sob & fatigue. Then I was Dx with MSA/SDS and Malignat Nuerocardiogenic Syncope. Had a tilt table test, (ugh), got a pacemaker in Feb. which helped a lot for about 5 weeks while I was laid off. Started a new job 4-1-01, (really) and started falling on the first day. Got to the point of falling up to 17 times a day, but still not passing out. In Oct. I was tired of chipping my teeth and getting hurt due to falling, so I started using a wheelchair. By now I'd had three TIA's. Jan 2, 2002, at work I was taken to ER in the meat wagon because they thought I was having a heart attack. Of course they found no reason for the " episode " . Now at 54, I was told no more driving by my Cardio Guy./ Had a chemical stress rest, then a Heart Cath, thank godness nothing is wrong with my heart. SOB, dizzy and nauseated nearly all of the time, and have some urinary retention problems. Good grief, am I ever going to stop rambling? And yes, I am still alive!
