Guest guest
hello all, i am a year plus two months out from having the lap RNY done by Dr. Pomp at Mt Sinai.... yesterday i awoke with intense pain in my lower right back, at my waist area.... hard to move or bend as the pain sharpens...it is painful just to touch it also, or to sit and rise again..... i have no experience with kidney issues.... so am seeking some advice.... anyone with a good doc, taking multiplan insurance? i live in manhatten...... i was reading last nite that one main food area to avoid is proteins from meat, chicken....does this mean that our protein drinks are less taxing on the kidney? any advice will be greatly apreciated......thank you, warmly, laura
Guest guest
I'm sorry you're having the pain and hope you find a good doc very soon. Where in the world did you read about avoiding beef and chicken? I've heard the Atkins plan may be kind of rough on your liver with all the fat, etc., but have never heard this. My doc recommends bulky animal protein as a way of achieving fullness in the pouch, and avoiding water soluble crispy, crunchy things. in Austin RNY April 1998 my kidney, my protein > > > hello all, i am a year plus two months out from having > the lap RNY done by Dr. Pomp at Mt Sinai.... > > > i was reading last nite that one main food area to avoid > is proteins from meat, chicken....does this mean that our protein drinks are > less taxing on the kidney? > > any advice will be greatly apreciated......thank you, > > warmly, > > laura > > Homepage: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Graduate-OSSG > > Unsubscribe: mailto:Graduate-OSSG-unsubscribe > > > > >
