Guest guest
First of all, WHO WAS THE SMARTA-- WHO SAID TO BUST MY PLATEAU BY DOUBLING THE AMOUNT I WALKED EVERYDAY?!! Yes, my plateau busted all right after 3 days of trying your suggestion, but I'm sore all over from my butt to my thighs to my poor shrinking calves!!! OK, well I grudgingly say thanks because I finally dropped below 240, that pesky brick wall, and slid to 238 1/2 totally naked and after I shaved my legs. Ok, so now on to the fun. I was trying to brainstorm last night as I was drifting off to la la land on some new and creative ways to avoid binging on sweets, chips, etc.. Here's my first idea: When I want to munch, gather all my favorite baddy goodies, arrange them nicely on a big plate, take them and a big glass of Crystal Light to my bedroom and crawl under the covers. Call my two Basset hounds, Bones and Pip, and have one lie on each side of me. Then work my way through all the munchies alternating one bite for me, two bites for Bones, two bites for Pip, one bite for me, two bites for Bones, two bites for Pip and repeat. That way I only eat one-fifth of what I would normally and the dogs would like me better! Also, this way since I eat so much less on a binge, I can go to the store and buy whatever I want without guilt, so long as for every dollar I spend on junk food, I remember to put two dollars in an envelope for vet bills. Any other ideas out there? Smiles, Vicki A. P.S. Dan, love your post. I am changing my relationship with food g r a d u a l l y with the intent of becoming a bona-fide foodie. I love food...especially now that I'm trying things I would have never cooked before. I have butternut squash in the oven now. Haven't tried that in years. Last night I made Russian Borscht w/ fat free sour cream. MMMMM. I agree, food in moderation is not only tasty, but guiltless, which makes it a true pleasure.
