Guest guest
Hello to all the old and new members. I haven't checked in with y'all in a while as promised, so for this I apologize. Life has been good and hectic at the same time. I had major knee surgery on Jan 21st and was home recouping for 4 weeks and found out how crazy I would be if I was a stay at home mom! I can only make so many quilts and did 3 quilt tops and another baby blanket for my granson who (I can't believe) will be 4 months old next week. He is such a peanut! I'll try to attach a picture of him and hope you all can open it. I've been reading but not posting .... sorry guys. Sandy, I hope continues to do well with her treatments and I think the hat party was such a great idea. , praise the Lord, you are having some good days this week and Glenda it's great to hear Mike is on the mend and doing much better. Judy O - I had the same problem with my achilles tendon but mine was due to over-working out ... too many step aerobic classes and since I wouldn't stop, the doctor put me in a cast for 4 weeks to let it heal. My mother had the same problem and she is a F/T RN at a hospital and does a lot of walking. So, if you are active, anything can flare the tendon. , it's great to see you posting, even if it's not on a regular basis and I agree with ... Liz, I'd love to trade lifes with you for about 1 month .... you really live and exotic life and it's great to know you don't let our disease get in the way! I don't want to jinx myself, but this month not only puts another candle on the birthday cake, but it also marks the 1st anniversary of being flare free. I haven't had a flare since March of 2000! My husband is taking me into NYC to see River Dance tomorrow and I can't wait. I've wanted to see it for 2 years now. I only wish all my boys and my little peanut (Kaelub) was here with us to celebrate. Oh well, will be going home to CA in a few months for the wedding so I'll get my fill then! Take care and be well everyone and Heidi, darn it! I have sooooo many windows that need cleaning. Would a round-trip ticket to NY entice you to volunteer your services. The yard work I love, and boy do I have bags of wild flower seeds my buddy from CA sent to me that I can't wait to plant. The darn snow has to melt first! I can't seem to figure out how to attach a file to this to share Kaelub's picture ... any one know the trick? Talk to you all soon.
