Guest guest
I know a similar topic was discussed recently, but I just saw a most touching story on the Today Show about a firefighter anonymously donating having donated bone marrow for a transplant to a 5 year old who is now 14. He died in the WTC on 9/11. I am so inspired! Does anyone know if we can donate bone marrow? I know first you are simply tested like with a normal blood test to see if you are a good candidate and then your name goes in a registry if all is well. I'm sure you would be tested again at the time of the transplant, but with our malabsorption problems, would it be risky to donate marrow? in Akron
