Guest guest
Hi there, First, so happy about your rebirthday--you have come so far. Second, I share your pain in the loss of your beloved Bai-Mimi. Fur babies have a way of wrapping themselves around our hearts and then piercing them when they must cross the rainbow bridge. I know there are no words that will make you feel better now, but I will pray for your comfort and consolation. Let yourself grieve and mourn your loss in a healthy way. Right now, whatever you are feeling is all right and should not be rushed. She was born in San on July 20, 1990 and died in Castro Valley today, June 2, 2005, just about a month shy of her 15th birthday. Bai-Mimi always seemed to take pride in how young she looked for her age. She was a beautiful kitty.Bai-Mimi was undergoing surgery to repair a broken jaw bone, and the veterinarian discovered an inoperable tumor in her throat. The surgery was completed on her jaw. Following surgery, she briefly came out of anesthesia, but then fell unconscious soon thereafter. She never regained consciousness.Zach went to the vet's office to say his last good-byes. I was working off-site, and he tried for several hours to contact me, finally reaching me in the field.Bai-Mimi looked peaceful when I saw her. Zach and I spent about an hour--our final hour with her--petting her and telling her how much we love her. We're both glad that she's no longer in pain, and we're sure she's happily entered into the Divine's eternal embrace. Please say a little prayer for Bai-Mimi and her brothers, Ming-Ming and Nandito. Please also pray for Zach and me.We will all miss her sweet, gentle ways: how, when especially happy, she tried to purr and meow at the same time, how she had a knack of joining in on a human-to-human conversations with just the right "meow" to make her opinion known. She loved having her nose petted and was especially fond of kitty massages. She loved chicken, especially KFC original recipe. She had a soft, beautiful and feminine presence but was strong-willed when faced with a challenge or challenger. Her golden eyes engendered love, and we will long hold her love in our hearts.Bai-Mimi was a happy kitty who loved and was loved freely and deeply. She led a long and happy life. She will be dearly missed.FranciscoP.S. June 3, 2003 is my re-birthday. While I'm so glad that I had gastric bypass, my heart is full of pain and tears.
