Thanks Kim! I took it easy yesterday, and didn't seem to have any major adverse

reactions. Just some softer stool while I drank the Volumen. If all goes well

today, I'll be happy that the prep didn't mess with me too much!

The tech said she saw that my bowel was really thickened in a small area on the

right side. That was probably my ileocecal valve. I'm crossing my fingers that

only a very small part of the bowel is affected! Now I need to make an

appointment to consult with a surgeon, at my GI's suggestion.

contrast the night before the scan and again 30 minutes before -- or variations

of that. Each time my digestion was messed up for a week or so afterwards --

but that's me. Between my sensitive digestion and my neurological issues, even

scans without contrast mess things up, and with contrast just adds to the

recovery time.
