Guest guest
This reminds me................I had my first major dumping. thought I had dumped before but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Oh hell no! I had 5 or 6 bites of Mud Pie. I know I know. Don't worry I will never eat mud pie again. I have had so called dumping before with upset tummy, hot flashes, sweats but never like this. I was in the car driving home feeling horrid and finally I told my husband something is wrong, I just can't even think. He said to pull off the road (freeway) and I did but in the center median not like I should have. Just not thinking. then I opened the car door to move to the back seat where I could lay down and didn't put the car in park. I was a freekin mess. I laid down in the back seat and went home like this basically moaning and groaning like I was going to birth a child or something. By the time we got home (20 or so minutes later) I was just not feeling real hot but the disorientation and neasea was pretty much gone. I felt like I had a hang over. NEVER AGAIN! I don't even want to go there. My body was in a total termoile. I even felt bad the next day just slightly. Nothing to write home about but this is not something I ever want to happen. I was most distressed about the disorientation. Very very out of control for this very very in control kind of girl. So I guess I have officially dumped now. > > > > Hey Everybody..... > > > > > > > > I wanted to remind everybody that it's 's > > > belly button > > > birthday > > > > (the original one). > > > > > > > > Happy birthday . Guest guest
I have not been that bad but I did after eating two peanut butter crackers (too fast rushing to get to the meeting) had the worst stomach cramping and runs (you know what I mean). For 20 minutes on the toilet. I thought I would be dehyrdated for real after that. If this was too much info, I am sorry. Guest guest
WOW! Lesson learned. I will not eat the mud pies, Cecilia --- musil321 scorchio321@...> wrote: > This reminds me................I had my first major > dumping. thought > I had dumped before but > NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Guest guest
One of my major dumping was when I had a small piece of (wheat berrry bread) toast with some peanut butter on it (with my normal egg & mushroom omelet). Luckily, I was at home and got to the " throne " in time before all heck let loose! I had cold sweats, cramping and other problems. However, it subsided within about 20 to 30 minutes and I really learned a lesson. I do however get a somewhat overheated sensation after drinking my pro-complex when I use too much sugar free chocolate syrup in it. But it's really mild and it's the price I pay for the extra jolt of chocolate. LOL. > > > > > > Hey Everybody..... > > > > > > > > > > > > I wanted to remind everybody that it's > > 's > > > > > belly button > > > > > birthday > > > > > > (the original one). > > > > > > > > > > > > Happy birthday . Guest guest
I can see that look Dr. Baggs gets when I tell him I have been bad. Giggle I do live on the edge, yes. Found I can not eat fish at all. Shell fish is fine but a filet of fish (baked, broiled, whatever) I get 2 bites in and I puke and it isn't a nice puke either. My tummy just says " say no to fish " . Go figure. > > > > > > > Hey Everybody..... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I wanted to remind everybody that it's > > > 's > > > > > > belly button > > > > > > birthday > > > > > > > (the original one). > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Happy birthday . Guest guest
I know. He does have that look doesn't he. I still think he is cute and sweet and my little crush I had on him is slowly dying. Will I ever truly be over that man... Until... Guest guest
Were you ever much of a fish eater? Maybe it's too soon for your tummy?? I have eaten lots of fish, pre-op. Since surgery shrimp tasted slimey to me. Broiled or baked cod is OK, but I need to make sure it isn't overcooked. I had salmon when on vacation in February, and it was good, but I had to watch to not overeat it. Canned Tuna goes down pretty well for me. If you really like fish, maybe you can try it again in a few months. If you don't like fish, well just forget it! There's lots of other good protein sources out there. --Sandi > I can see that look Dr. Baggs gets when I tell him I have been bad. > Giggle > > I do live on the edge, yes. > > Found I can not eat fish at all. Guest guest
woooo . I'm gld your feeling better now. Some of the lessons that we have to learn are definitely hard ones. I will have my share too I'm sure. Now that you've learned this lesson move on and do better. Guest guest
Hi Bill I am 2 years and 6 months out and I can still dump. If there is foood that is a little to high in fat I get nauseated and it will come up eventually. With stuff that is too sweet I thought I was beyond dumping but this morning I dumped and big time. I got this weird feeling in my lower intestines and cramps and feeling generally like I really needed to lay back down that lasted for about 3 hours. I am up now but with extremely cold feet which I didn't have for some time and still feeling somewhat miserable. Many times after I have gotten away with sometimes with eating something and them my body gives me this reality check so to speak. There are still times when I am eating something that I have eaten since surgery and all of a sudden I get nauseated and can't eat it for a while. Like eggs as a perfect example. It is a small price to pay though for good health. You are in the beginning stages after surgery. Things will get better as you move forward. Good luck and welcome to our group. Guest guest
For me, dumping is a reflection of the dumping of sugar into my bloodstream. It comes from too much sugar, fat or sugar alcohols or a combination of these in the food I eat. From mild to worse, the symptoms seem to be: 1. my body just gets hot or my head and neck gets flushed 2. I get hot and drowsy or lethargic 3. Hot, drowsy and my tummy aches 4. My worse dump was when I got hot, tummy hurt, and I ended up with urgent loose BM, almost diarrhea. I don't throw up when I dump. I throw up when I don't chew dense foods thoroughly enough and/or I overeat. That often happens with celery, vegies or well done meats that I eat too fast. --Sandi > I've read numerous definitions of dumping. Many tend to provide > little help.
