Guest guest
Don't worry, it took me forever to lose the weight too, but I finally did and got to have my surgery on April 13! Now it's taking forever for the fat to leave, but it is doing so slowly. Guest guest
Huggles (), I am trying to tell a coworker of mines the same thing. She has posted once to Robynn and her name is Jinter (cyber name). I told her to introduce herslef but she said she is scared. I told her I told her I felt like that at first to until Gordy and I emailed each other outside the group and he told me that I had to just put myself out there and the connection would happen and he was correct. Thanks again Gordy. So and Miss. Jinter, if you are reading, its time that you came out of hiding and just jump right in. We are a great group of people. Oh my gosh...did I just claim that. Yes, I did because WE ARE WORTHY AND WORTH IT. I am starting to like this striving for excellence thingie. Guest guest
Well, I'll introduce myself, I'm , 43, living in Riverside, Ca (southern California) with my hubby, Len & my 9 year old son Andy. I went through education classes last year, only took 5 classes, I was in the last class before they were to revamp the system. Hubby isn't too hype about the surgery, but I told him I had to do it for me. His family is very supportive for me having the surgery as well as my parents are. My heaviest weight was 330lbs, though Kaiser listed me at 324.5 at orientation in Feb. 2004. Recently I found out I am pre-diabetic (must be after cutting out all the sweets) & have hypertension and sleep apnea. I made my 5% during Christmas week (lost 16lbs), and Kaiser forwarded my name to Crown Bariatrics. In March 2005 when Crown weighed me I lost another 11 lbs and wanted to schedule me this May. I asked for a surgery date in June so my son could finish 3rd grade. Yesterday, I asked to be weighed and completed the last 5.5lbs bringing me down to 292.5. My pre-op visit with Dr Suh is on June 16 along with hospital pre- admit the same day. Today had to attend a post-op prep class where a nutritionist, respiratory therapist & physical therapist talked about the surgery and after surgery. This is a new class, started this month to educate the patient. Well enough for now. > > > > I know I hardly ever post, it's just that I feel > > > so awkward that it > > > > took me so long to lose the required weight. > > > However I wanted to > > > > announce that I finally lost 32lbs----my 10% > > > weightloss required by > > > > Kaiser-----HURRAH!
