Guest guest
Sorry! I hit the wrong button and posted before I was done. I decided today to try to look for some already prepared foods that were already SCD approved as I simple don't have time to call companies. I notice there are random " Elaine approved this " labels throughout web-sites and lists, but not an official list. I understand why there cannot be an " official list " because companies change their ingredients. But....where did the " Elaine approved this " label initiate from and can we trust these labels now? For example someone said the Utopia Organic tomato juice was legal but who is monitoring this recommendation? Can I trust this? I want to adhere strictly to the diet, but honestly cannot imagine giving up my few prepared items because of possible hidden ingredients, and am wondering if I can substitute with some " approved items " that are already prepared. I have an organized kitchen/menu/preparation system, cook in bulk at times, use a timer to stay on track. I don't think I can cut out on any more of the cooking time by being more organized, but 4-5 hours just doesn't feel like something I can do long term. I am not questioning the validity of the diet in any way, and I am hoping this is just not whining, but need some shortcuts. Thanks, SCD family for celiac/gluten intolerance Jan
