Guest guest
and I have been doing great with the diet and seeing significant progress. 's psoriasis has steadily been disappearing, he isn't having to run to the toilet after each meal, his bowels are firming up, and his stomach pain has lessened considerably. I've been feeling fantastic, with much less gas, bloating, mucus etc. and my bm's have been improving as well. That is until I got a UTI and took antibiotics. The first day on them my bm was firm, but olive green. (sorry for the bm talk, but I know you all understand.) The next day it was blasting watery diarrhea and today I was back to the familiar cramping, sweating bloody diarrhea. I'm so upset. This is my first backward step and it crushes me. I am seeing my gp this afternoon and I'm wondering if I should ask for antibiotics in a shot, if that's even possible. I know I have to take care of this UTI, mine come on quickly and I'm in intense pain within a few hours after the first sign of having one. Guest guest
Hi Cheryl I've never heard of it, although I'm doing some online research now. Where do you purchase it from and how do you figure out how much to use? Guest guest
Just a quick note: I'm COMPLETELY for doing homeopathic remedies. They've helped me in many different instances (cramps, UC, shingles, etc). However in order for them to work you generally want to do a little research in the Materia Medica (the book or an online version) to find just the right remedy. Every person is going to respond to each remedy differently and in order to find the right remedy you need to look at all your symptoms. Do you have headaches, do your feet get cold at night, do you have dull pains on the left side of your abdomen and dull pains on the right that get worse when you stand....all those kinds of symptoms. I'm sure that lots of remedies can be applied to UTIs, the trick is finding the right one. At least, that's what I've been taught by the guy who treats me. When it's done right, the results can be amazing. In fact, there's a doctor in England who claims to have cured 2 people of colitis using homeopathy. Each one had different remedies used in their treatment. Kind of makes me want to move to the UK!

Guest guest
Thanks for all of the great suggestions! I'm totally wiped out today, thank goodness for leftovers because I slept half the day away. I was told I could discontinue the antibiotics, that the infection remaining was slight and the doc felt I'd be better off trying to flush it with lots of water at this point. I'm usually someone that notices patterns quickly and easily. I'm dumbfounded at how obvious my body's response to the antibiotics was and how I missed that correlation before. I think, perhaps, I haven't felt well enough prior to taking antibiotics to notice the difference. The change in my bowel health and pain level was drastic and obvious. What a huge A-HA! moment for me. I managed to start the next yogurt batch.. that poor machine is running 24/7. How long do they normally last before we burn them out with constant use? Guest guest
I've had the same question about the yogourmet- as SCD'ers really put those machines to work. How long do they last? Hope you feel better soon! PJ > > Thanks for all of the great suggestions! I'm totally wiped out today, > thank goodness for leftovers because I slept half the day away.
