Misty/Zuke Soup

Misty,

Have you ever made the Zuke soup with chicken stock instead of water? I thought it mught have more flavor and I have a lot of stock--what do you think?

Yeah - you could do that. It doesn't need it -but it would give it a richer taste, moredepth. It certainly wouldn't hurt it. I made it the other day and added half abox of white mushrooms to it - it was reallynice - I ate it with those KBP parmesan crackers and some toasted pine nuts. And the next day I had it cold for lunch -it tasted similar to a vichyssoise - thoughless rich - I grated some parmesan in andit was delicious. Yes, I have made it both ways. When I have stock, I use it. It's actually my

mama's secret to making all her food taste better. My sis cooks just like my mom

but there's always something missing and she said it was chicken stock. =)

But, it's good both ways.
