Yes, GI ProStartâ„¢ does have to stay refrigerated to keep the bacteria alive, GI ProStartâ„¢ can be left out of the refrigerator for up to a 10 days with only a 5% loss of active bacteria, after 10 days the bacteria will die off at a very rapid rate if left out of the refrigerator.
