Guest guest
Being so conscience of everything you put in your mouth is definitely an adjustment. It takes a little while to get used to. We'd been on the diet for quite a while and got a cold. He caught it from my sister (she is living with us while she's going to college) and she had left her cough drops on the bar. He just went and got one and all of the sudden it hit him that he couldn't have those. He jumped up and ran to the trash to spit it out. It takes a while, but you get used to it :-)Best wishes,Kim H.husband, , CD 1999, SCD 2002To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Thursday, August 6, 2009 9:42:22 PMSubject: Re: Probiotics? Thanks. I have dairy free probiotics that I've been giving my son. I guess I have a lot to learn about SCD - I never even stopped to think about something like that not being "legal". I'm a label reader already, since I'm gluten free too - I'll just have to start putting my antenna up for new and different ingredients now! Guest guest
Hi PJ,It just needs to be refrigerated. This is from their website,11. Does GI ProStartâ„¢ need to be refrigerated? Yes, GI ProStartâ„¢ does have to stay refrigerated to keep the bacteria alive, GI ProStartâ„¢ can be left out of the refrigerator for up to a 10 days with only a 5% loss of active bacteria, after 10 days the bacteria will die off at a very rapid rate if left out of the refrigerator. GI ProStartâ„¢ should always be refrigerated to ensure maximum potency.15. Can I freeze GI ProStartâ„¢ yogurt starter? Yes you can freeze GI ProStartâ„¢ yogurt starter up to 1 year.Take care,Kim H.husband, , CD 1999, SCD 2002To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Friday, August 7, 2009 9:11:05 AMSubject: Re: Probiotics? This says to keep the progurt in the freezer. I keep mine in the fridge. It still makes yogurt. Should I keep it in the freezer? Thanks, PJ
