Hi Miriam,

I was at this weeks Richmond meeting, and I think I remember a Miriam but there were so many people there. I had my surgery on Feb 10th and just had my four month anniversary yesterday. In fact I called my friend Shonda and chatted, I call her my surgery twin because she and I had surgery the same day at the same hospital and we stayed at the same hotel the night before and had our " last supper" together. I think I have been in this group for about 18 months or so, maybe longer I am just not sure. I had my surgery at South San Francisco, but a lot of people in here had theirs at Richmond and I know that there set up a little bit different.

I can tell you that I am really glad I did the surgery, I havent had any major problems or compications since the surgery and that things are going very well for me. Since orientation I have lost 86 pounds and about 52 of them since surgery. I have gone from a 24-26 size pants to now a 18-16 size pants 3XL tops to xl or large tops. I no longer have diabetes and I do still have high blood pressure but that still could change when i lose more weight. A lot of my high blood pressure is hereditary not weight related. OH i forgot about the chat thing, I use to always try to do that, but nobody much uses it, there was a time maybe some 6mths back where they were picking days and a certain time to try to meet there but it didnt seem to really work very well. Welcome to the group, this is a wonderful group. I have not had the privilige of

meeting anyone yet, due to living in the valley, but they are all great support.
