Guest guest
I'm still doing research and gearing up to start my son (and myself) on the SCD as soon as we return from vacation. There's one thing I can't seem to find out about though. We can't have dairy, so the SCD yogurt is out. (Please don't tell me that we might be able to tolerate it later - trust me, dairy is out.) I keep reading that yogurt is an important part of the program. And I've read that probiotics are discouraged. So how do we get the beneficial bacteria without probiotics? I'm a bit confused here. How do other dairy free SCD'ers do this? Thanks, Liz
Guest guest
Thanks. I have dairy free probiotics that I've been giving my son. I guess I have a lot to learn about SCD - I never even stopped to think about something like that not being " legal " . I'm a label reader already, since I'm gluten free too - I'll just have to start putting my antenna up for new and different ingredients now!
