Trouble finding a DS lap surgeon close to MD

Trying to find a surgeon in the MD area who preforms the DS lap has proved

difficult to say the least! I've been researching Dr. Hazem Elariny in

Arlington, VA. I read on the amos site one profile that said Dr. Elariny has

performed only 6-7 lap DS procedures. Does anyone know if this amount is

accurate?

Has anyone heard of Dr. Magnuson in Baltimore, MD? Does he do the DS

lap?

I still haven't been able to get a appointment with Dr. Schweitzer who is moving

to Baltimore, MD in July 2001. I'm not even sure if he's does the DS lap? I'm

also leery about his constant moves...VA to DC to MD. Does anyone know why he

keeps moving?

I had my apt with Dr. Elariny on the 26th and asked him what his

count was now. He told me 40 Lap DS's. I agree his amount is low,

but the man is good with this Lap procedure, and that is what I

want. By the time my turn comes around it will be at least 10 more,

since everyone in my group wanted the DS. I had a friend run his name

for me, he works in a hospital, and nothing but good things came up.

He has had no deaths...so it is something to think about..
