Guest guest
Hi Misty, Beware! This recipe calls for “liqueur” – which as you probably know indicates there is sugar in it. We are allowed plain liquor (like gin, vodka, etc.) – but any liqueur is a no-no. J You could probably substitute vodka or rum maybe in this recipe and it would be yummy. Kathy SCD bartender nonpareil Drink Recipe: Pimm's™ Lemonade Posted by: " Misty " miztydawn@... miztydawn Fri Aug 7, 2009 5:44 am (PDT) I get daily digests for recipes from multiple sources. That's why I'm always sharing things with y'all. I got this drink recipe today and had to share it. I am definately thinking about drinking it this weekend. It looks very refreshing... =) http://tinyurl.com/ma3dk9 Here are the instructions with it scaled down to 2 servings. The original recipe was for 6 servings. INGREDIENTS (Nutrition) 1/3 cup Pimm's No. 1™ (gin-based liqueur) 2-2/3 cups lemonade (SCD Legal of course) 1/3 (4 inch) wedge of cucumber 1/3 red apple, cored and thinly sliced 1/3 orange, sliced 1/8 lemon, sliced 1/8 lime, sliced 2/3 slice fresh pineapple (optional) 2/3 strawberries, sliced (optional) 1 leaf fresh mint Stir together the Pimm's liqueur and lemonade together in a serving pitcher. Add the cucumber wedge, apple, orange, lemon, lime, pineapple, strawberries, and mint. Refrigerate until cold, or serve over ice. I think it would taste good without the liquor too. Just make it, stick it in the fridge and add liquor as needed. Misty Kimble CD - no meds SCD - 19 months
Guest guest
Thanks, I didn't realize that. I will def use a straight liquor. I thought it was talking about just regular gin.
