Guest guest
Hi Everybody.... Well it's that time of year again. Fishing season is here so I'm heading to Homer Alaska for some halibut and salmon fishing with five buddies. I'm really looking forward to the trip this year now that I'm down approximately eighty pounds....not only will I be able to fit in the airline seat more comfortably I'm sure my stamina for fishing for the big bruisers will be much better. I know I sure feel a lot better physically since losing all that weight with the exception of the ongoing back and sciatic nerve problems I have been experiencing for awhile now. Last year I had to sit a lot and my catch ratio sure showed that !! One of the things I had to make sure of for this trip was packing enough warm clothes. As most of you know shedding these pounds leads to becoming cold a lot easier but I'm all set for Ma nature's changes. I've packed a few things like turkey jerky and protein bars to help me stay on track and I'll probably eat a lot of fresh caught fish so It'll be interesting to see how well I do. Another thing that will be interesting is to see if there's any change in my " asshole magnet " maybe it's been turned off having changed my appearance some over the last nine months. In the last support meeting someone mentioned how people treat thin (thinner) folks differently and that perhaps the problem was how we present ourselves to others as fatties (does this make sense ?) I swear that I don't go looking for these people they just sem to single me out in the group whenever we travel and I've always wondered if it was due to my presense as a fattie. We'll see. Well that's enough out of me for now. I'll be back late on the 17th and I'll miss you all while I'm gone. Say focused, stay safe, be good to yourselves and don't forget to LAUGH. Love you guys....thanks for your ongoing support ! Gordy
