Guest guest
Hi all, I'm not sure if it was here or on one of my other groups message boards but I seem to remember someone talking about being allergic to latex. I am scheduled for surgery April 11th and went for my nursing assesment at the hospital a few weeks ago. The first thing the nurse asked me was if I had any allergies and if I was allergic to latex. I have never been seriously ill or had any surgeries before so to the best of my knowledge I told her I was not allergic to latex. Can anyone tell me, If I WAS allergic, how would I know? I havent had to ever wear latex gloves for any type of employment and I cant think of any other exposure to latex I would have. Really I'm just curious not to mention I'm probably blowing everything out of proportion due to my anxiety about my upcoming surgery. LOL No, actually I'm not freaking out but I am a little bit scared. Thanks! a pre op surg 4-11 bmi 70 Dr. Hess/BPD/DS
