Guest guest
Me, too. Do you have instructions?Because I've made pickles, once or twice in the distantpre-SCD past - and they definitely were not to die for. Hmm, I think I actually even have a pickle cookbook somewhere that someone gave me, now that I think of it. MaraAnne, I am interested in this pickle thing. Subject: Re: Is Calcium Chloride in Pickles legal? To: BTVC-SCD Date: Sunday, September 13, 2009, 4:58 PMHi, I am new but just have to chime in about pickles. They are kind of my thing apparently.. .hubby loves them. You can buy...but they are soooo cheap and easy to make. They are probably the easiest thing other than beets to pickle....It is nowhere near as much work as kraut. No mushing or anything. The taste is to die for too! No heat, and they are extremely probiotic. They take less time to make than the trip to the store If you are interested, just drop me a line.Good Pickles :)Anne

It is basically the cukes, salt, whey (from your yogurt or can buy non dairy), garlic, and herbs. Really so easy and ready in just a couple of days. I have a couple of jars on my counter now waiting for me to put the lids on. I line up a few jars of different veggies and pour in the liquid all at once. It is nowhere near as much work as kraut. No mushing or anything. The taste is to die for too! No heat, and they are extremely probiotic. They take less time to make than the trip to the store If you are interested, just drop me a line.
